BUILDINGS
IF WALLS COULD TALK
I don’t know what it is but there’s something fascinating about buildings, especially those that are abandoned or derelict. When I step into one, my mind floods with questions: What was this place? Who was here? What conversations once echoed off these walls? What lives moved through this space?
I can’t explain it exactly, but walking through these decaying structures makes me feel more alive. It’s like the past is both just out of reach and somehow right in front of me. The history here is silent, but it lingers — in the air, in the dust, in the bones of the building.
I’ll never know the full stories. I’ll never truly experience the atmosphere when it was vibrant and full of life. But somehow, I feel connected. Like I’ve stumbled into a sacred pause between then and now.
These spaces held hundreds, maybe thousands of lives. Secrets whispered, joys shared, quiet tragedies — stories lost to time. And yet, if you listen closely, you can almost feel them.
