The UK, YOU OK?
To be honest, I haven’t ventured much beyond Leicester and London—let’s face it, I’m not exactly itching to hit up Milton Keynes anytime soon. So, this page mainly focuses on the street art scenes I’ve explored in Leicester, London, and a couple of cities in Scotland. But there’s so much more out there. Cities like Bristol, Manchester, and Leeds have some seriously cool scenes with tons of local talent, and I can’t wait to check them out.

Leicester
What better place to start than my hometown...
The city’s definitely seen a boost in street art and graffiti over the years, especially in spots that used to be tucked away in alleys and underpasses, once known more for questionable activities and dodgy dealings. Now, those same spots are being taken over by vibrant murals and cool pieces of art. It’s honestly pretty amazing to see how these areas have changed—what used to feel rundown is now full of colour and creativity. You’ll find everything from small tags to huge wall murals, with local artists and some big names contributing to the scene. It’s definitely added some much needed character to the city.

St. Nicholas Circle underpass is probably my favourite place to cut through when I’m in town. Each tunnel is filled with layers of old graffiti, creating this cool, gritty vibe. It’s not just a spot to walk through—it feels like it's its own little art gallery, with every corner showcasing something different. There’s something about the mix of old and new pieces that makes it feel constantly alive, like the walls are telling their own story.

Another cool thing to happen in Leicester every summer is Bring the Paint, and it’s honestly one of the best things to happen to the city. This festival has really put the city on the map when it comes to street art, bringing together some seriously talented artists to transform blank walls into massive works of art. It’s not just about painting huge walls, though—Bring the Paint turns the whole city into an open-air gallery, with artists from all over the world creating eye-catching pieces that completely change the vibe of the streets. The event has grown year on year, and it’s become a massive draw for street art lovers, photographers, and anyone who just wants to see the city come alive with new artwork. It’s one of those events that makes you appreciate just how much creativity there is in Leicester and makes you look at Leicester in a whole new way.

London
Where the streets are always changing and every corner offers something new. The city’s constantly evolving, with fresh pieces popping up and old ones fading away. There's always something eye-catching around every turn. Here’s a look at some pieces from my most recent trip to London.

Scotland - Edinburgh & Glasgow
I was quite surprised by Glasgow's street art —not something I was expecting!
With the usual Scottish weather (wet, grey, and cold), I couldn’t explore as much as I’d hoped, but I’ll definitely be back to check out more.
For now, here’s a few pieces I caught—just to give you a little taste of what’s out there.

A tunnel somewhere in Edinburgh
Whenever I’m back in the UK between travels, I’m always reminded of the art scene I tend to forget about when I’m away. It’s easy to overlook how much graffiti and murals are scattered all over, especially in England.
I’ve noticed more and more spots dedicated to murals, and it makes sense—since the UK can be pretty grey, having bright artwork around really helps lift the place up.
Sometimes I’ll be walking along, not expecting anything, and then bam! I’ll turn a corner and suddenly there’s this amazing piece of art right in front of me.
I don’t love a lot of things about the UK, but I really appreciate the creative people who bring our cities to life with their work and give them character.
